Extensive experience with upstream oil and gas issues, production licenses, Joint Operating Agreements, unitizations, exploration agreements, drilling contracts, seismic contracts, field development contracts, tie-in contracts, processing contracts, production contracts. Experience both as civil servants in the Ministry, as outside Counsel and as in-house legal advisor to executive management in Statoil.

Arbitration in general E&P and gas sales contracts and LNG contracts: Instructing counsel on numerous international institutional (ICC) and ad-hoc arbitration cases, and domestic ad-hoc arbitration cases related to gas sales contracts, JOAs, third party access/tie-in, processing agreements, voting rules, LNG sales contracts etc.

Extensive experience in gas sales contracts, both in the negotiation processes and formal price reviews. Also extensive experience with LNG sales contracts, oil and products sales contracts, transportation contracts for oil, gas and LNG. Further, extensive experience in regulatory issues associated with gas transportation and the Gassled system.

Arbitration experience in oil service and offshore: Lead Counsel in ad-hoc arbitration related to FSO and ship building contracts and rig drilling contracts.
